Putting Patients and the Public at the heart of health and health care in Central Lancashire

NHS Central Lancashire has its new Ownership Programme to promote public involvement in the decision making of the trust. For more information on this and much more see the Community Engagement News Letter

"TRUST maters" provides news for members of Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Autumn edition can be seen here

Two of the questions featured in the “Your Say” say section have come from Tracey Cole on behalf of the Neurological Alliance. It’s great to have the issues which Regional Neurological Alliance Members have raised recognised by the Trust. We look forward to working with the Trust to help them continue to resolve these issues.

The questions (one relating to wheelchair accessible toilets and the other the National Service Framework for Long Term Conditions) and the answers can be found on page 7 and 8 of the newsletter.

Members of the Neurological Alliance are encouraged to become members of the Trust so they can use their membership to continue to influence further service development. To find out more about becoming a member go to  http://www.lancsteachinghospitals.nhs.uk/content/registration_form or contact the membership office via one of the following means:

The Epilepsy Action regional conference was well received by a very enthusiastic audience. More on the topics covered by the guest speakers, Dr Tahir Majeed a consultant neurologist, Julie Roach an epilepsy specialist nurse, Nicole Crosby-McKenna the development officer for women with epilepsy and Ian Wardle an accredited volunteer for Epilepsy Action and committee member of LASCNA, can be found here.
