Welcome to the Lancashire and South Cumbria Neurological Alliance (LASCNA) web site.
Introduction
Lancashire and South Cumbria has one of the lowest neurological consultant access rates in the country.
The number of consultants per population in the area we cover (Lancashire & South Cumbria) falls well short of the current national average for England.
It is to address issues such as this that made a group of volunteers, representing various neurological support groups, get together to form the Lancashire and South Cumbria Neurological Alliance in January 2004. Our function is to work with all regional neurological support groups in an attempt to improve the quality of life of those in Lancashire and South Cumbria living with a neurological condition.
